Painted Patootie & Fishnoodles

What do you sell?
Painted Patootie PUL diapers–custom-sewn pocket diapers in three styles, side snap covers, and pull on covers. I also do Fishnoodles tee shirts and applique patches.

How long have you been in business?
Since October 2006

What is your favorite product and why?
My personal favorite is the Fishnoodles tees that are dyed and accented with applique and free motion stitching. I love the mix of colors and textures and the overall complexity of the piece. They are sort of like little works of textile art. I could probably charge more if I just framed them!

What business accomplishment are you most excited about?
Being able to offer such a wide variety of items at affordable prices, plus doing extra things like blogging and participating in the Spotted Box, while managing to keep my order turnaround time at about a week, two weeks at most. Customer service is very important to me.

Do you sell only at your Hyena Cart or other places as well?

What advice would you offer to a WAHM just getting started?
Only make things you love to make because if they take off, you’ll be making a LOT of them!
