Over 3 years, since June 2004

What is your favorite product and why?
DreamScapes, because they are so much fun to create! DreamScapes are our night time diapers that are hand dyed and embroidered to create scenes.

What business accomplishment are you most excited about?
Starting K&F Shops (Knitteds & Fitteds). We have such a talented group of artisans and our community is wonderful.

Do you sell only at your Hyena Cart or other places as well?
My HC store was only opened after I had my business well established. I have had my main store since June 2004, K&F since 11/04 and opened my HC store in 1/07.

Any tips or tricks to share about balancing it all?
Find a schedule that works for you. Scheduling yourself with enough time to work makes it a priority, when you have “business hours” you allow for the time to get things done!

What advice would you offer to a WAHM just getting started?
Find a way to make yourself stand out - whether that be in your advertising, name, unique ways to showcase your products, new and innovative products - because those stores who stand out are less likely to fade into the background of HC. And put in the time you need to do your research before you open - research your market, advertising, products, names, etc. It will save you the headaches of having to make changes to things upon opening.
